Our story
Serious kashrut. Serious cooking. Zero fuss.
Chef Orel exists for one reason: so that keeping kosher never means missing out — not on a holiday, not on a celebration, and certainly not on the food.
Orel & team · Riviera Maya The chef
A kitchen that travels with your standards
We started with a simple frustration shared by so many kosher travellers: the Riviera Maya is paradise, but eating well and eating kosher rarely went together. Resort buffets couldn't be trusted, restaurants weren't an option, and self-catering on holiday meant one person trapped in the kitchen.
So we built the opposite experience — a complete glatt-kosher operation that comes to you. Our chef brings years of fine-dining and kosher-catering experience, a full team and professional equipment, and turns wherever you're staying into a private kosher restaurant for a night or for a fortnight.
Today we cook across Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and the wider Riviera Maya — for intimate family dinners, milestone simchas, Shabbat and Yom Tov, yacht charters and destination weddings. The setting changes constantly. The standards never do.
What we stand for
Four promises behind every meal
Strictly glatt-kosher
Sealed, supervised ingredients and separate meat and dairy setups — no compromises, matched to your community's standards.
Fine-dining standards
Restaurant-grade technique and plating, brought to a villa, a beach or a yacht galley with the same care.
Genuinely all-inclusive
Shopping, equipment, staff and cleanup are part of the experience, not surprise extras.
Quietly professional
We set up, serve and disappear — leaving your space immaculate and your guests impressed.
The chef
The chef behind the kitchen
Great kosher travel food doesn't happen by accident. It takes someone who treats both the cooking and the kashrut as non-negotiable.
Years at the pass
Orel brings over a decade of professional kitchen experience to every booking — the technique, timing and plating of fine dining, applied to a villa terrace or a yacht galley exactly as it would be in a restaurant. The settings are relaxed; the standard of the food is not.
Kashrut at the core, not as an afterthought
Every menu is built kosher-first. Sealed and supervised ingredients, strict meat, dairy and pareve separation, and a willingness to work to your community's specific standard mean you never have to interrogate the kitchen — you can simply sit down and eat.
A team, not a solo act
For larger groups and celebrations the chef is joined by a sous-chef and waitstaff, so service stays smooth whether you're a couple at a candlelit dinner or a hundred guests at a villa wedding. You get a kitchen brigade, not one person stretched thin.
The difference
Why travellers choose a private kosher chef
It isn't really about the cooking. It's about getting a holiday — or a simcha — where no one is stuck managing the food.
Your whole family eats well
No rationing of packed-from-home supplies, no living on tuna and crackers. Everyone — including the kids — eats fresh, hot, properly kosher meals every day.
Kashrut without the stress
No kashering a rental kitchen at midnight, no decoding foreign labels in a supermarket. The supervision and sourcing are handled before a single pot is lit.
The freedom to actually relax
The one person who usually ends up cooking on a kosher holiday finally gets to be a guest. The shopping, prep, service and cleanup are all ours.
A table worth gathering around
Meals become the centre of the trip again — long, unhurried and shared — instead of a logistical problem to solve three times a day.
